“HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER” é uma comédia sobre Ted (Josh Radnor, “Miss Match”) e como ele se apaixonou.

Tudo começa quando Marshall (Jason Segel, “Freaks and Geeks”), o melhor amigo de Ted, dá a notícia bombástica de que ele irá pedir em casamento sua namorada de longa data, Lily (Alyson Hannigan, “Buffy, a Caça Vampiros”), uma professora do jardim de infância. Quando Ted conhece Robin (Cobie Smulders, “Tru Calling”), ele tem certeza de que isso é amor à primeira vista, mas o destino talvez tenha reservado outra coisa para ele.
